Build Quality -based retention policy?

Sep 18, 2007 at 10:05 PM
When I was first hearing about TFSBuildLab, I became excited about retention policies based on what has been phrased on this site as "qualities", presumably of builds. To me, this was exciting because it implied the TFS "Build Quality" property that each build has. Upon reading through the documentation on this wiki, however, all I seem to be bumping into are retention policies based on Build Status.

Does TFSBuildLab have retention policies actually based on build quality?

Thanks in advance,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

I some earlier versions we did actually have that but in favour of other functionality we drop that, however if this is something you would find intressting we will make an effort and try to put it back into v1.0 of TfsBuildLab (which should be released within 2 weeks I hope). I have some stuff I need to finnish up before looking into this.

It would be fantastic if at some point Build Quality-based retention policies could make it back in. I actually can't introduce TFSBuildLab into my company without it. :(

This is now included in the currently checked in codebase we will now test this code base for a little while before releasing it but v1 is getting closer.
