When running continuous builds it is often interesting to get instant feedback on how the builds for various projects turn out.

The Cruise Control.NET has a simple tray-icon application that has influenced our design of the notification client for TFSBuildLab: http://confluence.public.thoughtworks.org/display/CCNET/CCTray.
